This is old news, but David is suing Fox Television because Fox was selling the XF reruns to their own companies for lower prices. I assume that part of his pay comes from rerun money, and that's why he's suing. Rumor has it that the XF are starting later becasue they aren't making episodes anymore and Fox wants to stretch out the season. I'm gonna send David and Gillian a huge letter asking them to renew their contracts. Fox has expressed interest in renewing their contracts, but David's a litttle bit P.O. so let's kiss XF goodbye. I'm gonna send them another huge envelope with a giant card in it and hope for the best.

Tilt is the title of a new film by Patrick Stark, former trainee assistant director from Season 5 of the X-Files. Tilt stars Tom Braidwood ( Frohike of the Lone Gunmen) as Sam Penzer, a failed salesman who has lost his job and is just trying to get home. A transit strike leaves him stranded in the East End of Vancouver where he meets a mentally-ill street person who believes himself to be a knight. In an effort to save the crazed man from hurting himself, this odd couple embark on a journey leading through the mean streets of Vancouver's Skid Row. The writer/director of the project is Lance Peverley, a former production assistant. Other ex-X-Files alumni working on Tilt include Director of Photography Marty McInally, Emmy-award winning sound mixer Michael Williamson, and Emmy-nominated make-up artist Leanne Podavin. Production should be complete by the end of November 1999, and the complete film should be ready for festivals by spring of 2000

At a recent public appearance in support of Chris Carter's new series HARSH REALM, X-FILES executive producer/writer Frank Spotnitz reconfirmed there is another X-FILES movie in the works. "We've been asked to do another movie and so much depends on whether this is the last year," Spotnitz said. "If it is, we'll probably get to the movie right away after the show ends."
